Organization FAQ

A few quick answers to common questions about organizations.

  1. Q

    What is an organization?

An organization account allows multiple users to collaborate under a shared profile. Organizations have centralized billing, shared card designs, and team management features.

  2. Q

How much does an organization cost?

Creating an organization is free. Paid options are available for companies that need more than 25 members or automatic billing.

  3. Q

What happens to my personal account?

When creating or joining an organization, your personal account becomes part of the organization. Your existing cards and invoices will become visible to the admins of the organization.

  4. Q

What happens to credits when I create or join?

Any existing credits move into the organization and become shared with the team. If the organization is deleted, remaining credits return to the deleting admin.

  5. Q

Can I switch back to a personal account later?

Yes, if you are the only admin of the organization, you can delete the organization to revert your account back to a personal profile. This will remove all members and custom designs associated with the organization. Any cards and invoices will remain under your personal account.

  6. Q

Why can't I use a Gmail or other public email providers?

Organization accounts require a custom email domain to ensure proper team management and security. Public email domains like Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook do not provide the necessary controls for organizational use.

  7. Q

How do I invite members to my organization?

As an admin, you can invite members by navigating to the "Members" section of your organization settings and clicking the "Invite Member" button. Enter their email address and select their role to send an invitation.

  8. Q

What happens if someone declines or ignores an invite?

Admins can resend or cancel pending invites. Invites can be declined from the invite page, and admins can remove declined invites from the list.

  9. Q

Who can manage members, roles, and covers?

Admins can invite members, change roles, and manage all organization covers. Members can update their own name and manage their own custom covers.

  10. Q

What happens if I leave the organization?

Leaving removes your access to organization members, settings, and covers. If you are the last admin, you will need to assign another admin or delete the organization first.

  11. Q

What happens to my cards if I leave or I am removed?

Your cards stay in your account, but the organization link is removed so admins can no longer manage them once you are no longer a member.

  12. Q

    How do I combine organizations?

You will need to delete one organization and re-invite its members to the other organization. Please ensure that you have the necessary permissions and inform your team before proceeding.
